“If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.” Everyone has heard this saying many times. And in the case of internet pharmacies, it is aptly applied. Just as with human medicines, the cost of veterinary medicines has sky-rocketed over last several years. This has led many pet owners to search online for less expensive medicines for their pets. Many have found online pharmacies that will dispense medicines without prescriptions (totally illegal) or that will sell a medicine at an unbelievably low price (most likely a counterfeit product). The FDA Center for Veterinary Medicine put together a pamphlet with tips on how to avoid being scammed. Click below to see how they recommend staying safe.
