Rebecca Arthur, DVMdr-arthur
Dr. Arthur grew up in rural York County, PA. She graduated with a BS in Animal Science from Delaware Valley College, Doylestown, PA. In 1998, she graduated from North Carolina State University, College of Veterinary Medicine. In the fall of that year, she joined our staff. Dr. Becky currently lives in Frederick with her cat, Flicka.
Michael E. Schaden, VMD1212875855648780
Dr. Schaden is a Frederick native and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine. He is active in numerous civic organizations and finished serving eight years on the Frederick County Board of Education in 2010. Dr. Mike is an avid Redskins fan who also enjoys running and playing tennis. He resides in Frederick with his wife, Sheila. They have three children and three grandchildren.
Barbara A. Stastny, DVMDr-Stastny
Dr. Stastny is originally from upstate New York. In 1993, she graduated from Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine, moved to Frederick and joined our clinic. Dr. Barb volunteers at a homeless shelter, Community Living and the Frederick County Animal Control Center and is a member of the Zonta Club of Frederick. She enjoys working with wildlife and is a member of the Maryland Wildlife Rehabilitators Association. Dr. Barb enjoys hiking and square dancing. She shares her home with two cats, DenaliĀ and Lucy, and dog, Maci.
Emily Yau, VMDDr-Yau
Dr. Yau grew up in Towson, MD. She earned a BA in Biology from Tufts University in 2000 and her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Her interests include playing piano and traveling both within the U.S. as well as to other countries. Dr. Emily lives in Frederick and has three cats: Tut, Oscar, and Bitty.

Betty, Practice Manager
Next to Dr. Schaden, Betty has been with the clinic the longest. Starting in 1988 as a part-time receptionist, she became the Office Manager a year later. As the clinic grew over the next three years, she became the Practice Manager overseeing most non-professional areas of the clinic. When not working at the clinic, Betty enjoys working in her extensive vegetable garden and providing a backyard sanctuary for wild birds. Her passion, however, is traveling the off-the-beaten paths of the world. Betty plans on visiting all seven continents (only Australia and Antarctica to go) and dipping her toes into as many waters around the globe as possible. Betty lives in Frederick with her husband, and her dog, Goofy.

Natasha, Office Manager
Natasha has been a member of our team since 2004. Starting as a receptionist, she became the Office Manager a year later. Natasha is an accomplished artist in several mediums including fabric arts, painting, jewelry making and silversmithing. Her favorite artistic themes are anything related to the ocean. Born and raised in Frederick County, Natasha now resides in Damascus with her husband and little Shih Tzu, Noodle.
