Dr. Michael Schaden, VMD

Dr. Schaden is a Frederick native and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.  He has been active in numerous civic organizations and is currently serving on the Frederick County Board of Education.  Dr. Mike is an avid Redskins fan who also enjoys running and playing tennis.  He resides in Frederick with his wife, Sheila, and has three children and two grandchildren. 







Dr. Barbara Stastny, DVM

Dr. Stastny is originally from upstate New York. After graduating from Mississippi State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993, she moved to Frederick and began working at our clinic. Dr. Barb volunteers at the Frederick County Animal Control Center and Community Living. She is a member of the Zonta Club of Frederick.  In addition to caring for people's pets, she also enjoys working with wildlife and is a member of the Maryland Wildlife Rehabilitators Association and the National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association. Dr. Barb enjoys playing volleyball, hiking and scrapbooking. She shares her home with her cats, Clyde and Lucy, and dog, Riley.





Dr. Becky Arthur, DVM

Dr. Arthur grew up in rural York County, PA.  She attended Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, PA and graduated with a B.S. in Animal Science.  After college, she moved south to attend North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine graduating in 1998.  In the fall of that year, she joined our professional staff.  Dr Arthur currently lives in Frederick and shares her home with a  German Shepard, Zoey, and two cats, Benny and Flicka. 

 






Dr. Emily Yau, VMD

Dr. Yau grew up in Towson, MD.  She earned a B.A. in Biology from Tufts University and her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.  Her interests include snowboarding, tennis, playing piano, and trying foods from different cultures.  She also enjoys traveling and has been to Inner Mongolia, China, Peru, Egypt, and South Africa.  Dr. Emily lives in Frederick with her cat, Jersey.
